    Don't You Forget About Me

    ---Dedicated to Mr. Adams

    Mr. Adams,
I sometimes wonder if you would remember me,
If we saw each other again.
You were my principal at Whittier,
And a gym teacher and health teacher in
    Junior High

When I heard you passed, I mourned.
I'm hoping you and my mother are talking, like you
Once did in the past, many many years ago.

In closing,  I wish to state the following:

    I'm a princess
    A songwriter
    A computer expert
    A friend
    A doer.

You and mom can have all the parent/teacher conferences you want, and I hope those discussions are positive.
    Sincerely,

    The Breakfast Club

    Eyes

    Eyes

    When I saw your eyes
    I looked in them
    For a moment
    I thought I fell
    In love

    I thought they were blue
    I thought they were brown
    I thought they were green
    For a moment
    I thought you were looking
    Looking at me

As I tried so hard to
    Study your face
    I couldn't look away
    From your eyes
    They drew me to you

    As I looked harder
    I could see you
    And I drew the picture
    Much sharper

    I could see you
    Much more better
    than in
    Someone else's arms
Baby can we kiss the night away

I feel your hand in mine
As we walk the streets of town
    It's open air you like
    And I feel
    It in your hand

    And it's all from
    Looking
    Into your eyes

As I look into your eyes
    I keep mine open
    As we kiss, I keep
    Looking in your window
    Hoping you're
    Looking in my window

    Looking in our eyes
    You can see the window
    Into my soul

    Looking in my window
    is she open
    Is he open
    For love?

    Free

    Free

    sometimes you
    must free yourself
your mind must be open to
    what you believe in
if its in you to be free
    then free your mind

    if you think you're special
    so special
    free your mind

    sometimes your memories
    cloud your judgement
ond what you want to say

    what's on your mind?
    are you like me?
    stuck inside
    the revolutions
    evolution

    if you're special
    so fucking special
    free my mind

    if you can replace Him
    then do your best
    to change  my mind

    i don't think
    you can

    if you try to
    negate His
     influence
    on me
    i will argue why

    i won't  convert you
    because its not me
    to say

    who you are?

    Skippy

    Skippy

    Well I remember
When I was halfway around the world
    I was on vacation
    I ate skippy

Now to you not knowing what a skippy is
    It's a kangaroo
    Yum yum yum
    I ate skippy

    Yum yum yum yum

    I ate skippy

    Thanksgiving

    Thanksgiving

    This is for our troops

This is for the ones who
Are apart from the comforts of home
Who serve away from their loved ones
    Who have to dish up
And watch the football from far away

This is for the ones I call family
My own, and what I call extended
    Can you be
    thankful

    For me
    I'm thankful for you
    Brother and sister
    Fight for me
    As I support you

    oooh

I remember tasting emu, crocodile and kangaroo
That was my Thanksgiving on my trip
    To Australia
    Remember it will be special
Even if it's not with loved ones from

    Home
I'm coming home to see you
    In my memories

    Remembrance

You did what you could, John
    You did what you could
    Keeping dreams alive

You did what you could John,
    You did what you could
    Showing us the way

    Then that terrible day
    When I lost a hero
    Before I was even born

You did what you could John
    You did what you could
    May you rest in peace

    May you rest in peace.

Big Black Ball In a Big Blue Sea

Big Black Ball In a Big Blue Sea

    Sitting in a blue sea
    Looking at you
    My bells ring out
    To get your attention
You look at me with your green eyes

    You paw your face
    Like it's a disgrace
    You lick your own ass
And look at me like it's nothing important

    Little girl made your point
    By kneading your perch
Do you think you own me?

    Meowing your intentions of
Snuggling with me in my blue sea

    Huggies and scratches

    Coincidence

    Coincidence

    A brief look
    Into your eyes
I haven't figured it out for sure
    You wave like me
    I wave like you
     Are you confused
    Like me

    Sometimes it seems like
    It all comes together
    Sometimes we miss the mark
    Sometimes you wonder if
    You sometime surprise her

She doesn't recognize you until you shock her
    With your eyes
For the brief time you spoke
    All smiles and laughs
    With friends

    As I Dig In..

As I'm digging into the catalogue of The Beatles, I'm really discovering just how much of an influence they have been in both what I compose on guitar, or in my style of playing, but also on my lyrical work.

To be honest, the only album of theirs I owned in my life prior to 9-9-09 was Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. I've heard all of the other albums off and on over the years, and of course, the songs that everyone all seem to know.

I only need to buy With The Beatles, Help!, A Hard Day's Night, Revolver, Yellow Submarine, and Beatles For Sale.

I basically bought the CDs as to try to remember childhood memories in some cases, (Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road), rediscovery in others (White Album), and the I-kind-of-know-it-but-don't-remember-it (Let It Be) to the I-Simply-Do-Not-Know-It (Please, Please Me).

I really wanted to get Revolver today so I could have finished up my psychedelic portion of the collection, but I ended up with Past Masters, which is basically an album released in 1988 that gathered up the songs that were the singles, or songs not released on any album. I can now play Hey Jude with total utter love, crank it loud. But there's a song I heard that falls into the rediscovery category, and the history of it alone should be appreciated for how music is done today.

If you read about the song Rain, it's the song that the band essentially, according to George Harrision, "The first MTV video". It also seems to be the first song to use the art of recording something backwards for a song.

The "MTV Video Version (minus the backwards vocals)"

John sings it. I'm trying to play it properly on guitar (G-C-D), but Paul rules this with his bass.

    Rain

    If the rain comes
They run and hide their heads
They might as well be dead
If the rain comes If the rain comes
When the sun shines they slip into the shade
    (When the sun shines down)
    They sip their lemonade
    (When the sun shines down)
When the sun shines, when the sun shines down
    Rain, I don't mind
    Shine, the world looks fine
I can show you when it starts to rain,
    (When the rain comes down)
    Everything's the same
    (When the rain comes down)
I can show you, I can show you
    Rain I don't mind
    Shine, the world looks fine
Can you hear me, when it rains and shines
    (When it rains and shines)
It's just a state of mind
    (When it rains and shines)
Can you hear me, can you hear me?
When it rains, and they run and hide their heads

    Auburn Hair

    Auburn Hair

    Is it the fiery nature
    Of a woman with fiery
    Red locks
    That cascade down her back
    Strawberry fields forever
    For me to play in

    Is it something about you
    That draws me to you
    Womanly fire?
Is it the look of Curly Top
    And Rita, Nicole

    Short or long
    Curly or straight
    Pony or pigtails
Drives me crazy in a bun

    A red headed woman
Can get a dirty job done

    Can't you see
    What a woman like you
    Is doing to me
Long hair and big brown eyes
    Make me melt inside

    A red headed woman
Can get a dirty job done

They say that a man shouldn't
    Fall apart except when
    He meets the one
    The woman
    Who completes him

    A red headed woman
Can get a dirty job done

    Woman with auburn hair
    You're so beautiful
    I cannot help but stare
    Into your eyes

    I cannot step
    I cannot see
    I cannot walk
Unless I see your dreamy eyes
    And feel your hair
    In my hands

    And your kisses
    Drive me wild
You make me so damn hot

    Woman,
    Oh red-headed woman
    Can't you see
    What you're doing
    To me

    Veteran's Day

On November 11, 1918, World War I ended with the Treaty of Versailles.

It is a day that is now known in America as Veteran's Day.

For one who wished to have served, this day I wish to celebrate with all of my friends qho are serving, who have served, or tried to serve.

    May God Bless You.

    Supple

    Supple

    Some of us
    Have a way
    To play
    To use our hands
    In such a way
    To make music

You use your hands and fingers
To play the notes that evoke
    Feeling

Some of us use guitars to
    Speak our mind
We're all are in our own world when we solo
Leave us alone when we go there in our
    Zone

Some of us play the drums rum pu pa pum
    Me and my drum
We keep the beat, the silent ones
    The aninmal

The bass keeps on grooving away
    Helping me keep time
    Perception of time

    Voices calling
    Hear me sing
    Voices of a band
    We can work it out
    We can work it out
    We can work it out

Won't you come out to play

    Sir Paul

    Down to the final Beatle.

I know long before I was born, there were contests of "Which Beatle is the cutist?". If I were a girl back then, I'd probably pick Sir Paul. Of the four, he was the crooner, the Sinatra.

I never liked the movie Live And Let Die except for two things: a very yummy Jane Seymour, and the song. Mom used to play Band On The Run to put me down for a nap.

But, Sir Paul wrote the best Beatle song...the best damned sing-a-long song ever, IMHO.

Na na na na, na na na na na

In closing, I wish I could write songs like The Fab Four.

    Arrakis

In the year 10,191, the seeds of history as we know it changed completely.
Each member of the story had roles, some innocent. Others not.
Some became what they were truly, others became more than what
    They should be.

The center of it all is what most would consider to be the
    Center of the Known Universe
Such an unremarkable planet if looked
    Upon a survayor's eye from a distance
    A desolate planet
    A desert planet

However, this planet has something that the Known Universe
Needs not to only survive, but simply to live
It is called malange, or spice

This insignificant planet is entirely of desert, no natural water
    It is known as Arrakis
But it is known by another name

    Dune
